Full moon scene in the middle of Helsinki. I went to buy some beer to a nearby shop, and noticed this huge full moon rising. I went home, grabbed my camera and tripod and went out for some pictures. The largest incarnation of the moon was gone, but anyway the G1 could not zoom into the moon too well (102mm maximum) so I got this instead. It's good to have something to support depth in nature shots, so here I have branches very close, rocks and snow further away and trees far away. Exposure was 8 seconds, which is somewhat noisy even with G1 at ISO 50 and noise reduction: it had a couple of dim hot pixels here and there and heavy lens flare. I edited out the pixels, and perhaps some small stars as well as (I did not want people to think they were hot pixels!), and so this image was ready for the gallery.
