A detail of a Juniper tree from my friends farm, taken at Christmas night. This is a high power manual flash shot, where the flash shoots from the left, with inbuilt diffuser, through (within) the needles, which act as an additional diffuser and add green color. I did not get this look on the first try - I think I took about 50 pictures from different angles and flash power. The deep green colors and heavy depth-of-field of this shot makes this photo look really good and shows how beautiful even simple-looking nature can be if you just look around.

Hi Pekka, Great shot, well worth your persistance. I love the way you have captured the colours and depth of field, well done. I have just purchased my first Digital SLR, Canon EOS 350D, with practice I hope to get similar resaults as you. Lots of practice needed though. Many thanks for sharing you fantastic work.
