My orchestra was recording Carl Nielsen's 1st Symphony at Sibelius Hall in Lahti, and often the orchestra got a pause when conductor Saraste went to listen some takes. There was a big Steinway on the stage, and many violinists put their instuments on it. I saw an opportunity for some nice photos, as the violins reflected from the black surface of the grand piano and the hall's rooflights reflected back as if the violins where floating in space. Tripod was no use there as I needed to shoot from above the subjects, so I tried to keep a steady hand and took many different shots.
