Esa-Pekka Salonen is one of my favourite conductors. He demands precision, can build a great atmosphere in concert situation and is always very positive and motivating all the time. This year on biennale in Helsinki he had to conduct also Saraste's concerts (Saraste injured his hand in a ski accident) and this was not a small task because programme was so complex and two different orchestras had to be rehearsed. It worked like a dream and concerts were great - with this man everything seems to be possible.
