Just unboxed my 30mm 1.4 sigma.

On my XSi and shot a barcode the number I focused on was SHARP!

Next will be testing on 7D with spot af. If I get a chance I might be able to post some shots from Durham Bull tonight.

I have that lens too and I'm very happy with it. I use on f2 most of the time and I get great shots!

Congrats!

hmmm and about +7 on my 7D...

I am gonna try it out at the park tonight. Real world test. Since I am not doing this scientifically... just hand held to shoot barcode and text on a piece of paper.

QUOTED IMAGE

I thought the other photo you had up looked a lot better, from a lens standpoint. I'm curious as to why you switched them?

Thanks.

I LOVE my Siggy 30/1.4 ;) It's my every day walkaround lens! I've been using it for probably near a year now.

i got home too late last night. I still have not upload the pictures. I might be able to do some shot this weekend with 30 and 50.

I am at work now and I can't wait to go home and check out the pics.

Experience so far is that it is more less like the 50 1.4 but much easier to use when walking around due to FL. taking picture of friends around me I dont have to back way back to fit everyone in the shot. The build is MUCH better than the 50 1.4, there is no contest there. Lens is slightly bigger but it actually fit my XSi extremely well! easy to hold in hand and just walking around its very balanced when I hold the camera with one hand using grip.

I cant wait to use it a bit more this weekend and get the pics loaded from last night. The Duke National champ event was nice and I met some cool photogs at the place. Including one guy who switched from canon to nikon :p I would like to see some of his shots since we are right next to each other to do some comparison.
