That's a bullet I'm just going to have to bite I guess. Frustrating because I do far more hand-held shooting but the tripod/head I do have just isn't up to the drill for the 500 (heck, it barely supports the 300...)

I remember those days. Heavy arse manfrotto aluminum tripos dinky ball head mad vibration without even touching the camera. Now with my wimberly that 500 is locked pretty good, still some vibration but 99% cut down.
