Make sure the camera is on a tripod and just do loads of exposures. Do them in order too because it will make the photoshopping easier later. As far as putting them together in PS, I just made a separate layer for the bumper, hood, fender, door, 1/4 panel, wing, c pillar, roof, 2 for the interior, and one for each wheel.

Is this working with layer masks or ? What's the best way to go about it, I'm new to layers/layer masking, I tried to find a tutorial earlier about it but no real successful ones...

Working with layers is THE way to do post processing correctly, take a look at this tutorials Murcielago LP640 Roadster (external link) ... it shows you how to work with multiple exposures and get the all together in one shot.

If you have any questions, get in touch with me ... I wrote the tutorial to be honest.

Very first time with my new strobe setup YN 460 II's full power. I notice little mistakes now but I think it was decent for my first try. Let me know If I should make any adjustments.

Thanks nismo,

the editor said it was a bit "busy", he's got a point.... but that's also the point of the photo ;)

I love the shot, but I agree with the editor. I think the main problem is the yellow bender on the right side drawing the eye.

C&C welcome.

Need more practice and probably better location, but this was my first time trying this out.

I used:
2x Quantaray 900
2x RF-602 Receivers
Canon 50D

I'll try adding a 3rd flash next time.

Here's one of my 135i. One exposure, 3 speedlights. I behind the car shooting on the building, one in the front of the car about 4 ft heigh and the other towards the back driver's side of the car. Sun was behind the building letting the entire car into the shade.

Very nice shot James. I love the PP. I tried my hand at shooting a car with OCF's and it went horrible. I was getting hot spots everywhere. Did you have a diffuser of some sort and where did you aim the light on the right towards?

Thanks. Here's the un-edited shot straight from the camera. No diffusers. Aim the speedlights down instead of straight at the car. try to skim the areas you are aiming at. Hope this helps.
