Laws don't necessarily mean a rider will be safe. California has a helmet law, but I still see any number of riders wearig shorts and flip flops on their bikes. I've been riding for 30+ years and the only concession I make is wearing a short sleeved shirt in hot weather.

+1 !!!

ATGATT and I ride a Harley although I do wear the "look at me I'm cool" half helmet.

Love the last shot.

Thank you Steve, talking about helmets... these were took at the Everglades National Park, wasn't intended as a super production, more like a quick photoshop editing for the girlfriend...

Thank you for the Welcoming PhotosGuy !!!

I'm an MSF Ridercoach as well as a photographer so I see and hear a lot of stupid arguments about loud pipes, vs lights and helmets vs skid lids, and etc... SO I ask, is this a pic share thread or a nag about gear thread?

Also The photos arent' bad for a newbie... it would have been nicer though if the bike was the subject, rather than the horrible glare of the HID kit, in my opinion... Parking Garages and industrial areas always seem to be my fancy with sport bikes, probably because they look more industrial themselves at times...

Like the location
Like the bike
Dont like the "focus" of the bike taken away by the bikes lighting.

I'm not a fan of the "ghost" shot either, personally...

Now to continue with the OT'ness:
As for the riding with no helmet... I do it at times, but not very often and it's usually when I'm in my driveway or within a few houses of my house, like after servicing the bike or when I'm putting it away after having it out, etc., usually Im fully geared,... When I'm in MSF gear I am ALWAYS Geared... No exceptions

Thank you PhotosGuy !!!

jchargu3, thank you for your comments, I believe I have too much to learn to even think of considering myself a "photographer", this world of photography is just amazing and very addictive !!!!

I believe the thread went on the direction of safety gear, etc, probably because there's a lot of riders in this forum and people that have an opinion of that issue, I don't mind the advice or comments about riding, and what gear or not you should use, I think is also cool to get to know the people in this forum a little better, not only about photography skills but also what they do, hobbies, etc.

Probably the HID glare on that shot you mentioned is not the best one, and I agree with you, it seems to be the focus is on the light and not the motorcycle.

Location was a problem that day, it was raining and I've rented a Sigma 70-200mm that I had to return next day, the idea was to take some pictures of the bike outdoor. So I figured it was a good idea to do some tests and play a little in the parking lot.

Ride safe !!! and thank you everybody for all the comments !!! I appreciate them and I hope to learn everything that I can from you guys.

Best,
