I have NO problem with you all peeing while standing.....provided that you aim the hose.

Seriously, you're men. Don't bother peeing in the portapotty. There are trees, bushes, tires, whatever readily available!

Looks more like a tomato sandwich :P

Well, it contains salad, mayonaisse, cheese, salt and pepper as well as bacon, but bacon is the more expensive ingredient ;)

Hey Almaph, welcome!

There are numerous good Raw processors! In the beginning start with DPP because it has both a good processor and, very importantly, uses your in-camera presets for things like Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness that would have gone into making a jpeg. DPP uses those to create your Raw preview and gives total freedom with Raw to mix things around.

From there, you can take your time to choose according to your preferred workflow -- some prefer to work around Photoshop, some Lightroom (my preferred), some Mac users prefer Aperture, then there are numerous smaller apps, some freeware, that have good things going for them.

But for now, install DPP if you haven't and be sure to go to the Canon site and get the latest version (3.8 ) and you won't be sorry -- it can be a valuable resource even if you do migrate to one of the other tools.

And, check out our RAW Conversion Thread where a whole lot of people contribute examples from various applications of what can be done with Raw and Raw processors.

Hope this helps some!

Thanks for your reply. I've used CANON 350D in 2007, later I've moved to Pentax and used it for a long time. Couple months ago I bought 5D and Pentax gave me K-7 as a present. I know how to use DPP but none of colors that I obtain are similar to some user's colors. Mine are not that vivid and natural.

By the way can you share with me your picture presents in your camera. It would be great if you'll provide some photos with settings.

Canon 5D, 50mm f1.8,Sigma 105 f2.8 Macro | Pentax K-7, Tamron 28-75 | and some strobist equip.

Okay, I know at least one or two of you have a newer rebel in your bag (t1i or t2i) alongside your 5d. Any thoughts on how they compare IQ wise?
