Bought a G11 a couple of weeks ago - VERY impressed with it (am also a 5d 2 user and L lens addict!)

Caught this fella catching some sun last week when I was skiing some way off back tracks in Tignes.

IMAGE: http://www.bladecomms.com/samples/20100413-IMG_0129.jpg

Taken in RAW - 1/800; 7.1; ISO 80 - so a VERY bright day (and was on my skis at the time too!)

Thanks...I appreciate it. I was a little bored so I pulled out the g11, 580, and pocket wizards to just take a quick shot.

Nice for a first try!

Is the camera on a Gorrilapod in that first picture? If so, do you like it? I see a lot of criticism about it and few enthousiastic people.

Coming back from lunch today, there was this butterfly,
just hovering around our flower bed at work here in Clearwater
SO, being the good camera guy, took out the G11 and grabbed
a couple shots;

Now that butterfly wasn't posing, but flitting around like crazy,
I feel lucky to have captured these at all, plus I couldn't be out there all afternoon ;)
work always seems to interfere, so I had to go back to work :(

Umm..He's Sick, My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious……

Yea i used the Sephia mode. As for the tripod, i have a cheap samsonite tripod that came with my camcorder a few years back. Too flimsy though. I need to get a more sturdy one.

Nice shot....sorry for such a noobie question but can you share a little more about what the 580 and pocket wizards are. Thanks.

You're welcome. It looks like an album cover. Really good lighting.
