Got a little question for you guys n gals,
my siggy 50 has been behaving oddly lately, im not sure if dirt or grit somehow got inside the barrel, but when turning the focu ring the movement causes an annoying squeeky (how do you spell that o.O) sound that absolutely registers very well in videos.

Now before i go sending it in or doing something stupid like drowning it in wd-40 i thought id ask here.
Anyone know how to de-squeek a lens?

any help would be appreciated

Mine grinded and was the most awful noise/sound in the world. Sadly out it went.

Gave it away to a friend at rock bottom price. Bargain for him, a loss for me but I'm glad the lens found a new place to call home. Honestly I don't know why I didn't sent it in. Madness just overtook me. I guess I didn't want to see it again.
