Super great shots, I know how hard these are to get you really have to spend a lot of time shooting an event to get even one. I have also noticed the paintball manufacturers are now using a much thicker paint that tends not to disperse as much when the paintballs break so these types of shots are even harder to get
Thanks! I have definitely noticed that different brands/grades of paints make very different splat patterns. Also hits on harder surfaces produce much cooler spray. I think you usually shoot at extreme high shutter speeds 1/4000-1/8000, but I'm usually trying to keep it above 1/2000 because I like a bit of blur in the splats.
Yeah, that was poor scheduling. It sounds like your son's team made the right choice!
