Well, I'm the last one to post pictures from Nationals....

I always have a hard time picking my top 8, but here's some that I liked.
Seems like people enjoy the "splat" shots, so that's what I went with, haha!

Comments and critiques are appreciated!

Thanks! That's one of my favorite ones as well. It was one of the rare times when I was shooting and I knew I got the splat shot, right when it happened. Most of the time it's just a surprise when I get back to my computer!

When I had my choices down to 10 I had about half a dozen people help my try to pick the two to cull out. They all did it independently, and all but two of the shots were considered the "worst" ones by different people! Everyone seems to like something different!

Great shots.

How did Drexel do? Back when I played GPL D2, we used to practice with a few of 'em.

Great shots, #4 is my favorite. Were the RIT Tigers playing there?

RIT did not attend this year. I was told they decided to play the NPPL Huntington Beach event that was the same weekend.

Hi Ben,

Super great shots, I know how hard these are to get you really have to spend a lot of time shooting an event to get even one. I have also noticed the paintball manufacturers are now using a much thicker paint that tends not to disperse as much when the paintballs break so these types of shots are even harder to get

It was very unfortunate this event was the same weekend as the NPPL event because this has always been one of my favorites

RIT choose to play in the NPPL Huntington Beach event Division III where they came in third place. My son plays on the RIT team and we had both teams staying at our house …can you imaging having 15 college age paintball players staying IN you house :rolleyes::cry:

Thanks! I have definitely noticed that different brands/grades of paints make very different splat patterns. Also hits on harder surfaces produce much cooler spray. I think you usually shoot at extreme high shutter speeds 1/4000-1/8000, but I'm usually trying to keep it above 1/2000 because I like a bit of blur in the splats.

Yeah, that was poor scheduling. It sounds like your son's team made the right choice!
