While I was intending to shoot the stairs in a different way and I was waiting for the traffic to clear, I quickly set my camera and grabbed the shot as I saw this kid run past me and up the steps. I'm thankful that he did because he totally made the shot!

I was attracted to the title of the thread. The photo is excellent, btw, and fits. They do grow fast, and they grow of their own accord regardless of what others wish. bw!

You know, I had a hard time writing about what the image meant to me when I originally put the post up on my blog for this image. Someone else also shared their thoughts with me about this image and it inspired me to write more about what I feel about it... I added those thoughts to an edit of the original post.
