Im a type of guy that really doesnt like updates and usually thinks it might make things worst. Do you guys really think its worth or a good idea to update the 7D software to 1.2.1??

To be honest, I have not noticed anything new or different; the camera is same as it was when I first got it.

Does anyone remember the "problem" with the next to latest firmware update for the 5D2? How they had to recind that and replace it a day or two later?

For the most part, firmware updates are harmless. But, it's also a valid position to only fix that which is broken. If the firmware update docs don't address a problem you are currently struggling with, it might be a good idea to delay until there is such an update.

I always update firmware AND software when available, especially when it is free. I wouldn't count on every update disclosing everything that is updated, so there could be added undisclosed benefits.
