I do not shoot much outside my home, but today I went to shoot Ulla, a senior citizen at her very small "garden" in my community.I have helped her with a portfolio earlier, she is an extra in film. I used a Sigma 500 Super with umbrella.

I'm enjoying these.

Here is a shot from my first official portrait session. It is also the first time I've used OCF. I have a single Vivitar 283 on a stand with a 32" shoot through umbrella, triggered by some NPT-04 wireless triggers from Cowboy Studios.

I have learned that most, if not all, of my portrait shooting will be with OCF! I'm hooked on it!

From yesterday's shoot, thank god for the awesome weather. The forecast is calling for pouring rain for the next 3 or 4 days.

580EXII + 430EXII shooting through a 43 inch umbrella, similar to what Pham does. I guess I took a page out off Pham's book lol. :D

Very nice ! you like your poppers?

look like you do !

From Yesterdays Engagement session..

makes me smile - looking at young love..

you know you wouldn't be able to shoot this shot if you didn't have lighting..

i used a bare 580EXII with 1/4 CTO Gel, @ full power about 7 feet away.. triggered by Radio Poppers... no modifiers.. too windy and no assistant..

Camera:Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Exposure:0.013 sec (1/80)

Pham the poppers are so simple and RELIABLE it is staggering...LOL.

I am honestly trying to gear almost all of my work to speedlites for OCF, ditching strobes for the most part.

Beautiful flare in that shot above ^^^^

A couple shots i took today of a fellow photog Andrew Coutts (who is the subject of these). It was a nice day out so we decided to go out and shoot a bit.

Photos are taken with 2 285HV's shooting into one umbrella with the sun as rim. They are a bit out of my normal shooting style...i was just doing some experimenting.

Very nice Pham.... is that a sun spot on her dress? at first glance it gives the appearance as if you can see through her dress... making her waist look extrem small.... and her... well... other.... upper part look very large.... couldn't decide if that was a sun spot? :D
