I got mine refurbished from Adorama.com but came from Canon in the White box with everything in it. Not only that, mine had the AF problem and I sent it into canon as the adorama warranty only replaces the item and doesn't fix it (for refurbished the replace them with another refurbish and if one isn't available you have to wait) and canon covered it under what they called a 90day warranty all I had to do was send in the adorama receipt with it. Other then the AF problem the 7d I got from them looked brand new and the shutter count when I got it was 424 which IMO isn't significant at all. I would do it over again in a heart beat.

oh I forgot when I got mine the AV cable and the USB cable were missing, called up canon per suggestion from adorama and they sent them both to me no questions asked.

What were the symptoms of your AF problem?

Because $200 is a lot of money. Why pay $200 more for something that is JUST as good? In fact refurbished could be better since it has been check by Canon service.

If $200 means nothing to you want to help me fund my new lens?

Yep, I have a refurb'd 7D from Adorama that I bought a month ago. Works great, looks great. I previously had a 30D refurb'd by Canon from Adorama and same story. I don't think I would buy new when I can get a few hundred knocked off the price with a refurb.

This thread needs some photos. :p

Agree with all the other commenters. I bought the exact same one from Adorama back in February. As with Power Play, mine had zero exposures on it. It looks brand new, no scratches, no dust, nothing.

I've been very happy with its performance, and have absolutely no complaints. Additionally, as others have mentioned, it comes with a one year warranty, but it's from Adorama, not Canon.

I say go for it!

dang just bought mine last week(yet to arrive :( ).... would have got this if this was around for sure. oh well.

Bummer, Jay. As far as I know, they've had them continuously since February (though I don't check the site every minute) when I bought mine. Frankly, I've been surprised that they've had them in stock this long.

Maybe you should send yours back and pick up a refurb one.

Adorama tends to sell their refurbs through Amazon or their ebay store. I bought a small Canon camcorder (HF11) that way, very good experience.

Bought a refurb T1i from Adorama. Looked brand new - flawless. Worked perfectly. Came with everything a new one comes with.

Two hundred bucks PROBABLY means a lot more to me than it does to many on here. However, If 200 is the only difference in money between a refurb and a new one, I'll take the new one, thank you very much

actually one hour before i bought mine i checked the adorama site and they didnt have it in stock.... i think they were out of stock for like 3 days in between as i had seen them on Adoramas website for a while too.

As for returning mine that is arriving on monday(damn weekend got in the way in between:().....i bought it from a fellow member here on POTN so no returns, lol. i also got an extended two year dell.com warranty as well for free through this member so it was a good deal in that regard. and the camera is practically brand new as well and i still end up saving more this way. so it okay.

What were the symptoms of your AF problem?

My brother who I live with also has a 7D we went shooting together one day and had a lot of similar shot but non of mine were quite as sharp (also noticed my AF system taking longer to get focus compared to his which was something he pointed out) so we set up a test area in the Apt and set them up side by side with the same settings and lens and let them fire away. after about 200 shots we noticed mine was taking longer to focus and the images were still not as sharp. So for the next two days we switched cameras (he is a better photographer imo) and went shooting together again and I was now the one getting better quality images. we switched them back one last time and again his shoots were much sharper. So I called up Canon let them know the situation and sent it out... got the camera back in 4 days and we took them out shooting again and they are shot for shot same quality and we switched and he and I both noticed it was AFing much quick and the image quality was on par if not slightly better then his. Very pleased with the results.
