Basically leave those attached to the receiver (Cactu v4 in my case) and attach those to the umbrella mounts, because they can take a bigger beating. ![]() Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!

Just "glue" the bottom back on the receiver with a small dab of ABS solvent from your hardware store. The black plastic housing appears to be made of ABS, so the proper solvent will actually result in a very strong repair. (Do not use PVC cement, as that will not work). Thats the answer I've been looking for. Thanks!!! Canon EOS 5D Mark II + BG-E6 Battery Grip

Forget the aluminum shoe shown in the diagram above.

Screw the brass insert (called a spigot) directly into the threaded hole in the bottom of the 602 receiver. You do not need that aluminum shoe you are using in your setup at all. Why does everyone insist on using a "double shoe" with there flash. There is already a flash shoe mount on the 602 receiver, you do not need an additional one. The extra shoe just makes the setup higher and more cumbersome. Enjoy! Lon Exactly my thinking! I'm glad I'm not the only crazy one. 1D Mk III | 450D Gripped | Σ 30 f/1.4 | 85 f/1.8 | 18-55 IS
