the bokeh from this lens isn't nearly as good as the 1.8 or 1.2 but it is FAST.

I'm not sure what you mean by "streakY" bokeh. What I usually see as "streaky bokeh" is caused by a busy background that is too close to the subject.

This lens may not have the "best" bokeh, but it really isn't a slouch.
