^^ True @ undermining comment.

Although I would imagine LV being able to depict any in-body IS.

It doesn't do that on a P&S when I had it switched on and they have in -body IS. It might do that on DSLRs I'm not sure but the IS not being seen in the VF is for sure.

We aren't complaining about it, but by lowering the amount of mega-pixels and adding new technology would make the 60D's high noise capabilities even better than the 7D and the 50D.

This man speaks truth.

Seems like the 13.8MP was a typo after all. Damn it :(
Now I actually care less if/when the 60D will be anounced.

I'd take 13 mp with great high ISO performance over 18 mp with crappy high ISO performance.

I would do the same, without a thought.

the canonrumors guy is terrible at being selective on what to put on the front page. Just like last week where someone posted a comment with bologne 60D specs and to the front page it went. I bet I can e-mail him with some 60D specs of my own and he'll probably put it up.

Email the dork with something and see how long it goes up.

seeing as I use an all prime set up aside from my long telezoom, which clearly an inbody IS could be turned off & the lens IS could take over in that scenario, this 'could' be quite interesting.

& in looking over the patent, its clear that it is a stabilizing system set within a dslr BUT at the same time with them coming out with their new lens IS system & re-releasing lenses to include IS, I'm not sure they would make this move, other than to give their customers options -? OR another thing that crossed my mind is (having never had a dslr that had video) is that I hear lens IS can be picked up by the microphone? So with canon possibly pushing photography/video in one camera type system in body IS may help alleviate this? MF while shooting IS in body so no camera noise... just my gears turning...

Articulating Screen/inbody IS on the 60D perhaps would be a great camera for those looking for the best of both worlds in photography/video

Which is IMO the thing they 'seem' to be looking to do.

my 2 cents.

I wasn't talking about people in this thread complaining about iso noise. There are separate threads for those complaints for both cameras (7D anad 50D) but not a lot of compelling evidence of any real problem.

Well the rumor site was updated and it looks like it will be 18mp after all. They're also saying it will have a new, never seen before feature. I'm guessing built in wireless for either dumping the card to your computer and/or controlling other brand oc flash units/strobes.

Although, unfortunately Canon is almost surely going to go 18MP for marketing reasons alone and CR already corrected their mistake and went back to listing 18MP.

I just wish Canon would try to create the camera that would have the best balance of features for best IQ, like 13MP.
