seeing as I use an all prime set up aside from my long telezoom, which clearly an inbody IS could be turned off & the lens IS could take over in that scenario, this 'could' be quite interesting.
& in looking over the patent, its clear that it is a stabilizing system set within a dslr BUT at the same time with them coming out with their new lens IS system & re-releasing lenses to include IS, I'm not sure they would make this move, other than to give their customers options OR another thing that crossed my mind is (having never had a dslr that had video) is that I hear lens IS can be picked up by the microphone? So with canon possibly pushing photography/video in one camera type system in body IS may help alleviate this? MF while shooting IS in body so no camera noise... just my gears turning...
Articulating Screen/inbody IS on the 60D perhaps would be a great camera for those looking for the best of both worlds in photography/video
Which is IMO the thing they 'seem' to be looking to do.
my 2 cents.
