Wow, thank you for the votes, it feels good to have others appreciate your work. Like others stated I hard time getting a B&W conversion to "pop". I think I processed about 6 pictures and finally settled on this one for reasons voter gave, the detail in the wood really stood out. I don't think my father in law had composition in mind when he chopped and made that wood pile but luckily it worked out that way :)

The new challenge is "Transportation", hope you like. Get out and shoot and have fun.

Awwwwwwwwww Tammy, yes you could have just participated, too bad I did not mention it before, because I HAD thought about it during the week (somehow must have felt you thinking this, LOL) everybody is always allowed to put in a pic, when you post the challenge this does definitely not mean you will automatically make a winner picture, LOL, just saying........;-)a

After debating for awhile I gotta go with Kent. Even in black and white she still seems to pop from the photo (I'm also a sucker for cute little ones and shes adorable!!). I love it!! Really tough to chose this week everyone, great pics!!! Can't wait for the next challenge!

Kent that is a great photo of your daughter, I assume she is your daughter, and my wife fell in love with it.

Thanks for the comment on my doughter. She is a natural model, when I take up my camera she and her sister always want me to take a picture. They are very qute, and I am already feeling nervous about the day when they turn into teenagers... :)

I would be very afraid when they hit the teen years, I'm sure they'll be even more beautiful! Thats great that they are so eager for you to take their pictures. You have a model anytime you want ;)

Thanks ! That view is what is called 'the classic' yosemite valley view encompassing the 'El Capitan' on the left, the Yosemite falls, the Half dome on the back. This view I believe is the most pictured and found all over the net !! It is supposed to be very good early in the morning and during sun set ...and there I was right in the middle of the day ...!! but the view was still awesome :D.
