Last night my daughter had her Rock Band performance. It's a level of advanced band at her school. I only took a handful of shots but I like this one a lot. The three girls behind her are her closest friends since preschool so I think this one will be something she wants to hang on to later in life.

Shot with available light. I didn't tweak the color temp when I processed but it's fine with me the way it is.

Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Love how she's got her 3 best friends in there - definitely something she'll treasure in the future!

I think I would like a tighter crop on the photo - other than that, I think it's great! I'm glad you didn't tweak color temp - it looks like it was shot in a school, and it was. I think it keeps the memory more real!

I do not like the tighter crop. It takes away from what the moment is about. I love the original version, crop color and all :)

I do prefer the crop :) Not sure why!

To each his own I guess... I still like the shot!

I love it... I like your original crop. My eye draws instantly to her face in that one. The second crop brings me to first look at the girls head behind her, and then to her face.... not sure why, but... anyway....

Nice to see you post something... :)

FWIW, I prefer the original as well. The cropped version leaves half of the notebook at the side of the frame, which I find distracting. In the original crop, the books add a little context without being distracting, IMO. I don't see how you crop it tighter, keep the three friends in the picture, and not crop right through the middle of the upright notebook.
