Here's hoping for a $200 rebate on the 70-200 2.8 II IS.

no way that would happen.

Guys, the rebate game is a scam. The prices will go as much or more than the rebate amount. It's happened every time for the last 2 years. Trust me, I got burned on my 17-40 waiting for a rebate last fall. It's a marketing ploy, not a way to actually reward loyal customers. If you find a good deal now (especially with bing cashback), just pull the trigger.

I feel the same way. But if they are offering a rebate on the 70-200 II I can't see them raising the price. Other lenses like the 17-40, sure. It happened to me last year with that lens. Amazon had it for $702 for the longest time and once the rebates came out they jacked it up to $750.

I said hope, not that I would bet on it. Go Red Foxes.

All right...Enough.....I am out!!!

I tried and I tried...but I just could not wait any more. I officially ordered a 5D Mark2 at 3:00PM Eastern. So now I am predicting a massive rebate sometime between now and the arrival of my new camera! Expect great rebates no later than Monday.

You guys can thank me later.:)

I'm still holding out for it (as much as it pains me too!). Hopefully they will put out the rebates soon because I hate anxiety!

ipood where/how did you get a 10% coupon? I would pick one up from BB if I had that! I'm right across the glenn jackson from the PDX best buy!

Goto your local post office and ask for a "change of address kit" and it will usually contain a BB coupon for 10% off.
