I always carry my SD1100. I have an iphone but the pics aren't that great so always use the SD. It fits in my purse better than the 20D

IXUS 870IS, nice but would like a compact that shoots macro in tele mode.

Dang! Am I the only one with a Canon D10? If my DSLR can't go it's probably going to be too rough, too wet or too cold. 15MP sensor is larger than the 40's! It really surprised me what it can do in good light. Drop in the pool, no sweat! Good for 33'! Love it!

Love my D10. 1st one filled with water off St. Johns. Second has worked fine. Also shoots family memory quality video.

S90 is tough to beat considering the price /quality /size / low key look.

Another +1 for the S90. To have a camera this darn capable in my pocket is very, very cool.

s90... it's a great little camera, truly pocketable (as opposed to my G10) and completely configurable with RAW files etc. I have a 5d2 and a 40d, but the s90 can always be with me. I'm actually less self-concious about using it in crowds etc for street candids so am getting photos I would not get with my DSLRs. Frankly when you look at some of the photos being produced in the "show me your best with" threads for G10 and s90 etc these camera's are not going to hold anyone back, and the niche where DSLR's are supreme is narrowing - predominantly to where very shallow DOF, low light, or very large prints are required.

DSLR or no photos??!

Crazy. My S90 goes everywhere with me and I've had some beauties out of it - often stuff I might not have looked twice at that I'm glad I grabbed.

If I have a choice of getting a shot with a p&s or not at all, I'll take it with a p&s. Especially if that 'p&s' is an S90 :D

Crazy.

Yeah, that's nuts. I'm a photographer, I'll use anything that takes photos.

(Which is also an S90 when I'm not using the full rig :-)

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Just curious what P&S some of you folks put in your pocket if your EOS stays home? (or, what are you considering buying?)

I really like my SX110. If it dies, I'd likely get a S90 or SX120.

You?

It won't fit in my pocket but I do take my G10 on most outings.
