Yep.. I'm sure you can probably DIY, but we got an aluminium pipe from Apix.. the exact length etc of the paper, and it comes in half and joins when you want to put it together :)

A bunch of Canon bits and pieces.

My Samsung screen cost $350 about 5 years ago, it works fine. I will probably get the widely recommended Dell 2209 at some point though.

Hey,

Quick question - beyond the standard touristy things - whats some good photo ops in London? I'm off on holiday Friday (US time) for 8 nights.

Plan on taking the 11-16, 24-105. Might end up taking the 100-400 as well for London Zoo (carryon weight allowance is high)

Daniel

Wax museum. I take as little gear as I can on holiday, never a long lens.

Daniel, just be aware that there are many restrictions taking photos in public places in London -- thanks to the idiots who brought about 9/11. Don't be surprised if a bobby or security guard comes up to you and ask you to erase the photos... Read so much about this in a few photog mags... it is annoying that tourists can take snaps but people with SLRs are viewed with suspicion...

A pikchoor..

From our recent time in Samoa. This kid is 15 and is an absolute machine with the fire! Been doing it since he was 5. I was lucky enough to see him perform twice in my time away, the second night he was perfect, doing all sorts of crazy moves and never missed a beat! Sent chills through me he was that good!

Head along the river banks on foot between places like Tate Modern, Tate Britain, London eye and the national theatre. Some awesome street sights around there, last time I was there outside the theatre there was an amazing second hand book stall, covering an area bigger than a socker pitch. People watching hotspot.

Also visit Tate Modern, see the classics at Tate Britain for an hour (seriously it's worth it) and go see The Photographer's Gallery.

Cheers, Dave.

Having been born in London and lived there for the first thirteen years of my short life, I can honestly say I haven't got a clue. (Wazza (external link) has some good photos though.)

Apparently... there are bigger idiots who say they are defending democracy... when all they want is oil... serves them right to be the main targets...

Thanks for the suggestions guys. 1 thing I do plan on doing, is a tour around the monopoly board (find all the places on the English version of the board).

Umm, I'll sit quietly in the corner on this one. Due to I was born in Bermuda (early enough that I still get British Citizenship), to a American Father, and New Zealand mother (and yes I can have 3 passports all legally), I'm not sure if I'm the big idiot defending democracy, the other idiot saying its fine, or the NZer who thinks it's all for the oil. As I grew up + lived in NZ for so long (30 out of 33 years) I consider myself a Kiwi and travel on NZ passport where possible.
