So I'm digging my 33 now after picking it up yesterday. I'm going to rig a sternum strap on there somehow from REI and I will post pics if anyone is interested. This is the first pack I've bought that I was immediately happy with (besides the strap and lack of water bottle attachment outside). There is plenty of room in the lower compartment for my whole kit including hoods and I can access my three lenses, flash and body by the side access thanks to the two tabbed dividers with only the circles of Velcro.

quick tip for holding bottle (which is a drawback of the 3n1 xx): use a caribiner and attach it to either the metal tripod loop in back or the lower right or left metal loops that hold the straps--it's worked for me.

Im very intrested to see what you do with it. Ive been looking at this bag for a while and like yourself was dissapointed in the lack of a bottle attachment on the outside.

I know this is reviving an old thread but was wondering if you rigged anything for the bag? Thanks

I did rig up a sternum strap which worked well nut unfortunately I sold the bag without taking any photos of it. Get these: http://www.rei.com …ckles-1-inch-package-of-4 (external link) and a couple feet of this: http://www.rei.com …nylon-webbing-flat-1-inch (external link)

Thanks for the reply. Any chance you can give a quick description of what you did with the buckles and webbing? Also, why did you end up selling it? Thanks!
