I had Joshua LaCelle, who designs smugmugs for people, design me a website. I think it looks awesome! Let me know what you all think. And if you like it, sign the guestbook!

Thanks!

They could all be waiting for it to load. I am on a 50 meg pipe in the UK and it took an age to load.

Hmm could be that we don't have the same backhaul contention, I did say I was in the UK.

You saying it loads fine, is fine. Why did you feel the need to start your sentence with what can only be considered a rude and confrontational opening. Do you adopt that style of dialogue when talking face to face with people?

I just said it loads fine. I had no intentions of being rude.

Sorry for a moment I thought you started with "I don't know what you are talking about"

My mistake must be my age.

Back OT.

I like the site it is clean and simple. Are you sure you want to offer the option of grabbing the full sized images? They look great but a significant temptation to pinch them.

Also in the UK...

Took a while to load the home page, but once loaded it runs quick enough. Your logo didn't load for about 5 minutes of clicking through the site.
HOWEVER: from a design side, it is very nice and simple (which I like) and shows off your pictures well.

Please learn to accept that not everyone in the world (and your country) has super fast internet and a site that takes time to load will loose custom.

Thanks for the input! I will keep that in mind

What do you propose I do?

On my commercial site I only offer 1200 on the longest side @ 75 DPI I also watermark which I hate. I guess it is a balance between showing your work in the best light possible and protecting any prospective revenue.

You can set on smugmug the largest sizes that you want people to view. Say you wanted people to see nothing bigger then a "Large", then you just set it in the gallery settings.
