Black and white version of the last shot of Laurel.

Both good, prefer the colour version.

Nice, but could probably use a little more rim lighting on the very outside (ends) of each tire, I reckon, just to delineate them a bit better.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Yep off the one pack.

Single pack just really becomes a hassle when you're shooting without the 4m extension cable.

Mmmmm, really thinking of getting the Ranger before the falling Aussie dollar gives Kayell an excuse to kick the price up again...

make sure you get the extension cable... or you could just bring the quadra as 2nd light.

Nah, Kayell (the Aussie distributor, but also a retailer) won't give them the Rangers for sell, just the Quadras. As far as I can tell, Kayell are pretty much the only ones selling the Rangers.

Yeah, just looking to get it with one head and use the Quadras as the second light, indeed.

Couple of shots from last friday, my first try with Elinchrom Deep Octa. I'm really pleased with it so far! Deep Octa close camera on left side, one bare Quadra head for background fill. Any tips on how to improve the lighting?

Someone had better tell DCW to stop spreading lies about themselves, then.
