Thanks for the kind words Rob :)

I'm almost enjoying shooting with the S90 more than my dslr. Almost.

After testing it out at home on some flowers in the yard, I'll definitely take it hiking this summer to photograph wildflowers.

Am scraping the bottom of the barrel a wee bit. Will force myself out into the dreck weather at the weekend I think...

I just got my S90 last week and took it with me to my daughter's wedding. I inadvertently left the camera in the flash mode and the glass on the window pane gave me this amusing star-like reflection over Biscayne Bay. (No, no - the sun was only slightly past meridian.) Shot from a 21st floor window of my room at the Four Seasons Hotel on Brickell Avenue. 05/30/2010.

That is a great shot. I've been looking at getting a telescope recently anyway and some digiscoping with the S90 would be something I'd be wanting to try, especially after seeing this shot.

What adapter are you using to connect the camera for this? Looks like you are using a special eyepiece for digi-scoping, does that make a big difference?

After trying three other set-ups over several years, I came up with this:

Substitute an 82mm Nikon Fieldscope for the small 50mm scope in the pic and an S90 for the S70 in the pic, and that's what I used. The DS eyepieces are designed for digiscoping but also work brilliantly for visual use.

All the S series cameras from Canon are digiscoping friendly
Attached is a pic taken with the ED82 and an S70...

I cannot get into the link you provided. It appears I have to register with the site before I can access. I do not care to register just to see an image, so perhaps you can post the image on this forum?

thanks,

There are some seriously fantastic shots in this thread! My S90 is currently in the care of UPS on its way from B&H as we speak - should have it by the weekend - and I'm very much looking forward to using the little bugger!

I was just fooling around with the macro mode on the S90 the other night -- a bit of pp later in LR3 and I had this.

Pun intended ;).
