Received my second set today, Just tried out the basic ETTL and HSS with 2 receivers, works great.:)

Both the units fired at 25m in ETTL and HSS, a quick cross(sandwich) lighting test showed good exposure between the units. I have a transmitter in 5D mode on my 5D2 and a transmitter in normal mode on my 50D, alternating between cameras didn't confuse the triggers, which gave consistent exposures..:):)
On camera Flash Exposure Compensation bought both flash expsoures up/down as expected.

And all in a setup of 30 secs...!!

sorry I havent tested the FEL or Modeling lamp..I don't have the need for these features..this is also following on from peoples experiences of erractic firing.

For my use of basic off camera ETTL and HSS, these units seem terrific.

Another test completed..:-)

If I were to use a PK transmitter on my 5D II and 2 x PK receivers with 2 x YN-468 flashes, off-camera, will the YN-468s receive E-TTL data and adjust their exposure accordingly?

I'm eager to get into off-camera flash photography (or at least experiment) and I'd prefer not to break the bank in doing so. Plus I don't want to be faffing around with manually configuring the flashes. Lazy git that I am.

On a side note, both receivers are working great..!!:)

I have not read of anyone trying out the YN-468 flash with the Pixel Knights.

The TTL that the Knights handle is a stand-alone one. Any Speedlites mounted on Knight RX Remotes will simultaneously fire an exposure pre-flash, and the camera will evaluate the light hitting the subject - as if it was a single light source. The overall exposure will be "correct", but there is no individual control.

Ratios can be implemented by varying the distances, or using flashes of different max. outputs, or applying Neutral Density filters.

Warning - the PixelHK website is infected with aggressive trojans and other nasties.

Edit: Pixel have cleaned their site and should be ok for access.

I can confirm these don't work on the 5D classic and the 1Ds2.

I have some problem with 5DII and 580II.
under the 1/200 there is a black bar in the half of shots. but above of 1/200 it's ok.
the TX is in 5D mode.

Just keep a watchout for an updated version with much wider compatiblity.

Are you waiting long enough on half-shutter for autofocus to occur, and be transmitted to the flash? (Typically almost a second.)

The first batch put on sale proved to be faulty - any chance you have those? Units from the factory after 1 April 2010 should be ok.

The same manual was supplied with both versions, but you should have received the correct trigger version.

Are you using Manual mode for the camera exposure? Is the flash showing ETTL, after taking one shot? Is it showing HSS? If so, you should be able to range from 1/60th to 1/1000, say, with only a drop on ambient/background exposure, but with a standard exposure on the subject.

The camera is in M mode. yes the flash showing ETTL. in above of 1/200 it go to the HSS and there is not any problem. actualy it can't sync under 1/200

Got mine last week and they work great. Ive used it with my 50D and 430exII, but they do not seem to like my yn460. When ever I shoot with it, it ends up having a darker top to the picture at all shutter speeds. But works great with the 430 and thats what I got them for so that does not bother me. Got shutter speeds all the way up to 1/4000.
