I see that Lightroom 3 has been released. Those using the beta version don't forget they will expire this month.

Has anyone bought it yet?

downloaded the upgrade about two hours ago...been playing with it since. Love the new lens profiles..goodbye DxO!

This is the only LR3 thread??? wow... I bought it and my catalog is converting now. I'm happy I can use this on yesterday's wedding... I've been playing with the beta since it came out and I'm excited about the better sharpening, better NR, and film grain/noise. I've already used LR3 on a set of 20 x 30 prints where I imported them back in after enlarging and added film grain and they turned out very well. I'm glad I don't have to go to PS with every file I want to add noise (where I used to use Alien Skin Exposure 2).

Downloaded and installed. New Lens correction feature is nice, although in some shots with my 17-55mm I feel it overcorrects a bit....real unscientific tests though.

Any other new features in the final version? $299 will be hard to swallow but the SW is great no doubt about that.

I came back briefly to say... DAMN. It is much, much faster than the beta or 2.6. I've been editing all night in 2.6; I just switched over to 3 and jumping between modules and more importantly between frames is much snappier. As you're flipping through images, the (LOADING) delay while it renders is up like half the time or less compared to 2.x. My hardware is a late-2009 unibody MBP, 2.4G C2D, 4G RAM, and a 640GB non-SSD.

(and yea, I'm really waiting for an SSD)

Ayup, had that problem, too. I had to d/l through the store and the Akamai d/l manager. 10 people can grab the OSX DMG of LR 3 here from Rapidshare:

Sdiver2489, you can use the Amount sliders below to reduce the effect of the profiled corrections, if they're a little OTT for your taste.

Those having problems with the download can either try another browser, as Firefox and Chrome have had a few problems, so can also use the direct official download links:

Pleasantly surprised to see LR3 out. Upgraded immediately. I don't think I could go back to LR2 after using the LR3 beta for so long.

Anyone know if Adobe will be offering a "double upgrade" option - a special deal for upgrading to CS5 & LR3 at the same time.

They did last time to CS4/LR2 and just wondered if the same would happen again?
