Nice, If this was in the fall of 09 I'll bet it was just before the color tour to Cadillac? My photos on the last page are of that trip as they passed through Marion and McBain.

Does this count? Okay - well, this train may not match the superior quality as other train photos on here - this is my favorite. Honeymooning through Europe! What could be better then that? This is actually training through the mountains of Switzerland near Interlaken.

So where is 765 these days? It used to run the New River Excursion here in WV every year when I was little, but Amtrak has since taken it over. Probably my favorite steam engine.

Lots of great pics in this thread.

Here is a picture I took on a cruise vacation last year. It was one of the winners in the 2009 White Pass and Yukon Railway contest.

Fall 09 it was used in Michigan for the Fall color tour. I'm guessing it is kept in Owosso.

Not that you have anything to do with it but.... I really freakin hate when steam trains go backwards, or "push"

Nice shots though.

Don't you ever get sick of trains that only run forwards?

Anyway, I agree, nice shots.

Any ideas what the first car is? It looks very much like the cars they use in the U.S. to carry coils of steel, but that doesn't make sense in this context. Maybe it's a tank car of some sort to carry water or oil for the locomotive?

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!
