Did a fun photoshoot with Alice few weeks ago. Quick strobist type of work on the beach. She was really easy to work with and showed her personalities in each shot. Definitely will have to work with her again in the near future. C&C are always appreciated.

The last shot is the best. The lighting is pretty good in all shots, but the poses and the shoes don't work for me.

Actually, the more I look at 1 and 2, the more I like them, but still think the last one is best.

I guess I wasn't the one picking the outfit, the MUA was. I though the shoes were interesting.

#4 is awkward? How so?

Yep, nice set of images there. I do like the off camera flash stuff. Well done

1st one is great! except for the pose and the face which is at a very unflattering angle. but that's a matter of personal taste. i really like the composition, but not the expression. the rest are all right.

Thanks Misha for the input, what would have you done instead? The 1st one was kinda interesting, she just decided to climb the tree and started posing. I got the MUA to hold the lightstand for me, climbed a tree opposite, and shot a few frames. :)

no probs ))
well... i would have told her to pose in a different way. The way i see it. I can't tell you how to pose your model because there are no rules there. It is about what you are trying to say with your photo. Here - it is a silly look which is all right with me but it looks like you just caught her doing silly things and it looks like an unfinished concept. Lately I haven't been a regular on this forum precisely because of the lack of conceptual photography on here... so I can't really critique in a way I used to - just not really interested )))

I'm no korrektor, but IMHO, #1 would have worked better if she were "emerging" from the dark cautiously rather than a kind of leaning against the tree with a playful/bashful/flirty salute.

Fair enough. The playful salute was my idea. As mentioned she climbed up to the tree and started doing some random playful poses. I told her to give me a "yessir salute" since it seemed to capture her playful personality. The emerging from the dark cautiously idea is definitely a good one.
