Gotta say I don't mind this one at all — the vibrant processing makes it look very surreal (esp. the grass). Well done :)

Thanks!! Was a 3-exposure HDR done in Photomatix and then LR, then sharpening in PS CS5 :)

I find the backgrounds a bit too busy...a car like this needs snow, mountains, or dirt trails to remind you of it's rally heritage. Plus, cars look best against bland backgrounds IMHO..it contrasts their beauty.

I hear that man and agree for the most part. Unfortunately the area I live in CT doesn't have much quick access to decent scenery like that unless you drive a bit. These were really quick shots to show my new ride height after lowering the car, but decided to throw 'em up on the web anyway :) Well I spent more time on the HDR- I like the way that one came out.

Next ones I'll definitely have to take a ride to a nicer area with some less busy backgrounds! I don't dislike the school location though! Somehow I always connect cars with schools..???

You're not terribly far from me then if you're still in the tri-state. There are a few rock quarries, abandoned warehouses, etc to go to. Anyways here is mine:

Thanks to my friend Brianne for letting me test out my new SuperTak 55mm on her:

Not bad for a $20 lens IMHO... I know it's a bit bright..this was a throw away but I liked her expression..the original is damn near white washed. First time using flash in a portrait, and honestly I didn't like it darker. I am testing out fill flash/ambient light combo. Click for the full-size.

Love the bokeh on that thing — almost as good as the 85L or the 135L, I'd say!

Haha, and for that reason, as much as I'd like to, I have yet to purchase either of those two lenses ahahaa...
