I've always used Opteka grips. They're perfect for everything I need them for. I've even read reviews comparing them to the Canon's saying that the Opteka material is more comfortable and durable. Just my two cents.

Sent it back to Hong Kong for replacement. They sent a new one. This one is OK but I don't trust it after seeing the way it's made. OEM from now on.

I'm wondering if it has that soft, rubberized feel of the camera grip to it, or if it is just basically hard plastic. Thanks. Sorry its been so long. It does have a rubberized feel to it on the front and bottom. 40d w/ grip, 75-300 f4-5.6, 85mm f1.8, 50mm f1.8, 18-55 is, Bowers SFD728c, 160ws Flashpoint strobe
