? on aftermarket batt. grips

I've always used Opteka grips. They're perfect for everything I need them for. I've even read reviews comparing them to the Canon's saying that the Opteka material is more comfortable and durable. Just my two cents.

I have a Phottix grip, purchased it on eBay from Hong Knog. Shutter Button fell off. Sent it back to Hong Kong for replacement. They sent a new one. This one is OK but I don't trust it after seeing the way it's made. OEM from now on.

Just got the Meike Battery Grip for 5D2.
It works amazingly well. Responsive buttons & dial.

Since it's made from plastic, it makes the grip very light too but still very sturdy.
Not sure about how heavy the genuine Canon one, considering that it's made from Magnesium.

The only thing I miss is the Multi Directional stick. If only Canon or any 3rd party can reproduce the stick on the grip like Sony does, it'll be awesome.

Can you give me a sense for how the finish and feel of the Flashpoint compares to your 40D? I'm wondering if it has that soft, rubberized feel of the camera grip to it, or if it is just basically hard plastic.

Sorry its been so long. It does have a rubberized feel to it on the front and bottom.
