Very nice indeed. Can I ask what lens you shot these with? 70-200 or 100-400?

Thank you. I was using the 100-400. The Red Bull shot was at 300 focal length.

That is some nice panning @ 1/50th. I shot motorcycle racing awhile back and anything less than 1/160th was unusable. More practice, I guess! Darn...have to go to more races...

These are fantastic!! I haven't quite gotten this technique down yet. Something is always wrong with my shots. I can't seem to get the subject focused. I'm guessing it is just a matter of practicing and matching the speed of the car. It really is incredible how much it adds to the shot though! Most of my shots were boring because the shutter speed was too high but I didn't want to leave without any good shots so I played it safe. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much. As i have previously stated, i took a lot of shots just to get some nice sharp ones at 1/50th. I must also say that the equipment helps too. The 1D mk iii does a great job.

Thanks a lot Dave. Keep practicing. I have a lot of shots like yours above too and it gets better over time. I too get some shots with higher speeds just to make sure i have some sharp shots but then i lower the shutter speed and take lots and lots of pictures. Believe me, i have to delete quite a few of them.
Kevin.
