Trend, 50D to T2i, why?

I've seen several posts in the classifieds where people are looking to trade their 50D to the T2i. Just curious what is causing this trend? Is there something people don't like about the 50D? Is there something the T2i does better than a 50D?

I'm looking at possibly looking to pick up a used 50D, but wanted to understand this trend before I did?

The T2i is based on the newer 7D and has a great movie mode. The 50D is a dated camera, though still a good one. If you don't need the movie mode, then get the 50D if you want it.

T2i is the latest model and has the latest technology and seems to be an improvement over the older models in IQ. I never used it, but I did use the 50D briefly and in my opinion, it's a 40D with a prettier LCD.

Yeah it was easy microadjusting lenses with a 40D...

Reading the specs when this model was released I felt the same way, that they (Canon) were just trying to get something out there in time for the Olympics advertising.

The only reason to go from a 50D to a T2i is movie capability. The 50D is way more body except for that. The Microfocus feature alone puts the 50D in a higher level.
