Why is it an outtake?

Just because it is entirely different then the rest of the shots from the series. It was just a quick shot I took, after having a random thought of a concept. I liked it enough to edit it a bit, so I used the term outtake loosely

Camera left, 3 ft from me.

good portrait.. the best kinds are the ones that you can tell something about the person from...its a little less commercial

now, just figure out how to get rid of whatever fixture is growing out of your face.. image left, and the distractions on the lower left

also, to take this image to another level, give your subject(yourself) a catchlight in the eyes.. lowering the height of the softbox, so there isnt a shadow on the eyes should help if you are firing one strobe

It's a bit hot I think..but it was my first time using flash with ambient light.

no.. love this.. the sun and the brightness is great.. the color tones also..

I see I wasn't the only one to notice....first thing I noticed. Does add power to the photo that's for sure. Nice shot.

working on my photo shop skills..

the only way to do it is to just practice! haha.

some might not like it some will, just something i am doing for my personal art..

i will run it by marrisa and allen and see what they say..

this is so clearly a composite.. but i am trying to make it look not a composite..

the sky line shot was taken from the net..

the shot of allen and marrisa is mine..

lighting on this was 2 cars from the back side and the front was just a snooted 430 EX @ 1/4 power camera right

Lenin - Very nice using the sun as rim light.

Love the color saturation you've got going here too.

A couple of proofs from another headshot session, pretty much straight out of camera for now. Thoughts on lighting/poses appreciated! Mix of 430ex/shoot-through and overcast daylight.
