How does this work? and how can you recreate it??
Do you need specific lens etc? or can you do this with specific set of lens etc?

If not then something is not right about this it must be a close distance model. Also the photos are taken from a high point and at about a 45 degree.

I think it's a good idea to investigate that before looking to buy a new lens if that is all you are after. There are lots of great reasons to buy a tilt-shift but my opinion is that this use is too trivial.
