You did her justice. Good fill flash (I'm assuming by the catch light) on the first and a good conversion on the second. Very well done.

WOW...what eyes, what skin !
I like a lot # 1, although I'd crop it just below the shoulder
#2...Great composition again, but I'd sharpen a bit and toggle the levels to bring more detail into the hair.
Good Job
regards

I like number 2 - it has a nice 'out for a walk on a winter day' feel to it with the windswept hair and fur collar. Also like the composition. It might be worth trying to clone out the stray hair that cuts across her left eye and is a bit distracting.

Gotta be honest and say that I'm not too keen on the first - the fill in is a tad too strong for a natural look.

Oh, and you've got a very pretty friend!

Very good shots. I agree the stray hair is distracting. I would also darken the white in the top left hand corner of the b & W.

Neither!

Oh and she doesn't live here. :) She will be coming back in a couple months and we will get a ton of great pictures (it will be warm then). Very excited for that.

Good shots but the pouty look is a bit artificial/overdone...

Just put some thin white paper over your flash, if you don't have the cash yet. It works pretty well to difuse the light.

the 2nd one is a great image....don't crop the hair out....look at the background..the tree branch next to her....repeats the shape of the hair over the eye and creates a great eye travel....just next time ...watch out for that ear ring making a strong highlight...it draws the eye too much.....maybe darken it and the image works great......kinda like a Mary Ellen Mark portrait.....very moody and effective....don

Cheers, Don
