Hi all,
I have not posted much but I like to look at all the fantastic photos on this site. This photo of a loon was one I thought might be good enough to post.Please let me know what you think. I took it with my XTi and a ef 75-300mm. This lens aways seams to have a soft focus but this one seemed pretty good.

Nice shot Richard......we only get to see loons down here as they pass through, and never in these beautiful breeding colors. They're beautiful birds.

That's one bird I've never photographed.. Hopefully when I come across one, I'll get a shot as good as yours!

Thank you .I just hope we get them back after they winter in the gulf. I heard the oil spill will seriously effect the population.

Great capture... the throat colour showed up nicely!
