I will be moved down there July 5th if all goes well. We found a house to rent in the Florence area. So someone better be ready to go shoot soon lol. How far is Hartsville and Greenville and the rest lol from Florence? Can you tell i'm not from around there?

I'll be moving from Michigan to Charleston on July 17th.

I was planning to pay for a few guided historical tours and came across this when looking at my options.

Sounds like a great way to learn a bit about the city and get some great shots of my new home.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have no idea thePritchett looks like fun though a little expensive for me though. Looks like were invading S.C. though lol.

I'd probably be going on the tour alone, so only have to pay for one person. 20-25 bucks for two hours of someones time seems very inexpensive to me. Much less expensive that any of the other guided tours I found. All I'd want to do is take pictures on one of those anyway.

I'm stoked to be moving somewhere so beautiful. Sure will be nicer than the slowly decaying suburbs of Detroit.

You guys (ya 'all) accept northern boys? Will be moving down there in 2 or 3 months from Minnesota. Going to be in the western part of the state and can't wait for photo ops in the foothills and mountains!

Not sure yet. Wife has property in the Pelzer area but her sister lives in Greenwood, so we might be going there. Or somewhere in between (I guess that would be near you), Greenwood and Greenville. :D

I am 30 minutes from Greenville and 55 minutes from greenwood. Im actually going to be delivering this baby in greenwood unless something changes. Pelzer is such a dead hole in the wall lol. I am not particularly fond of greenwood as a town, prefer Greenville. But its all relatively close. Greenville is about 30-40 minutes from greenwood via Highway 25 so still an easy trip. All of the foot hills stuff is West of Greenville, mostly in Oconee country, although Greenville has a beautiful waterfall running right through down town. Depending on what type of work you or wife do, Greenville area also has a better job market than Greenwood but you can get to Augusta Ga pretty easy so you could work Greenville or Augusta. If you do professional photography, the Greenville area is saturated!
