"Okay first off, as a full time photographer I have to say I will scream if Canon goes to SD. They are too small and too easy to lose. With a CF card you can put one in your pocket, pat it and feel it without need ing to sort around".
Absolutely nothing to do with the thread, but this remark reminded me.
A wedding photographer was hired here in the UK, shot the event, then put the memory card in his wallet and forgot about it. 2 days later he lost his wallet!
The client is fighting mad, because the 'tog carried no insurance against "massive personal stupidity" and has lamely offered his fee back or to reshoot the event! Note he has NOT offered to pay the air fares, the hotels, the costume hire, or the catering costs, never mind the time it will all take to reschedule.
Am I alone in thinking that as a so called professional, this 'tog should be taken to court for as much money as possible, as a lesson to others? He should have gone straight back to base and made copies of everything, any other action beggers belief. 2 days after and its still in his wallet gathering dust.
