So the 60D will have IS ?

It will have the new relativistic IS system. It detects motion, then shifts the universe to compensate. Never, ever, ever set it to mode 3. In that mode it will stop moving relative to the Earth and will immediately head off into space or potentially through the ground depending on your location on Earth, the time of day and day of the year.

You thought IS on tripods was a bad idea...wait until you see this!

My gear:
Canon 5D mk III, 7D | Canon 70-200 mm f2.8L IS, 100-400 mm f4.5-5.6L, 24-105 mm f4L, 16-35 mm f4LIS, 50 mm f1.4, 100 mm f2.8L IS macro, | Canon 580 EX II Flash

LOL; and I thought mode 1 on my 100-400 + tripod could cause problems!

Okay first off, as a full time photographer I have to say I will scream if Canon goes to SD. They are too small and too easy to lose. With a CF card you can put one in your pocket, pat it and feel it without need ing to sort around.

As far as a touch screen that would be pointless, and yes you would be cleaning it all the time. And there are not that many buttons on the camera to begin with. The point of having an slr is you can change settings in an instant and not have to horse through 27,000 menus.

Face detection is not needed, that is why we have focus points and mov the focus point around. Besides I would probably throw my camera against a wall with face detection on a f/ 1.2 lens... just saying.

Finger print scanner = dumb....

Wifi... this makes no sense at all...and why would you put ANYTHING on the web that you have not edited or at least sorted...

Equipment list: Canon 1Dx, Canon 1D mk III, 50D, 400mm 2.8L, 70-200mm 2.8L, 17-40 4.0L, 24-105 4.0L IS, Sigma 15mm 2.8 FE, (2) 580EX II

Wifi is usually to stream to a computer as you shoot. Not to put it on the net.

yeah, I have found that... though it was early on so ya never know. What was a serious statment becomes a "hey I was just joking everyone" once everybody else thinks it is a dumb statement...

Absolutely nothing to do with the thread, but this remark reminded me.

A wedding photographer was hired here in the UK, shot the event, then put the memory card in his wallet and forgot about it. 2 days later he lost his wallet!

The client is fighting mad, because the 'tog carried no insurance against "massive personal stupidity" and has lamely offered his fee back or to reshoot the event! Note he has NOT offered to pay the air fares, the hotels, the costume hire, or the catering costs, never mind the time it will all take to reschedule.

Am I alone in thinking that as a so called professional, this 'tog should be taken to court for as much money as possible, as a lesson to others? He should have gone straight back to base and made copies of everything, any other action beggers belief. 2 days after and its still in his wallet gathering dust.

^^ Obviously if he had a 60D he wouldn't have to worry about losing his wallet, because it would magically find it for him.

I think that there would be other photos that they could include that would make it sell even better. ;) (Just not that one of CG in the Princess Leia outfit...)

I'm off lining my cage with newspaper.
