Here are a couple of Photo's from the British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park. I couldn't go to the Race Day (Sunday) due to other commitments, but thought the Photo opportunities at Saturday Practice would probably be just as good. Which they were.

The 1st Photo is of ex World Championship Racer (250cc, 500cc & MotoGP) Jeremy McWilliams in one of the support Races, the Henderson [Harley-Davidson XR1200] Cup. EOS1D Classic & EF300f4L. 200ASA, 1/500th, f9.

The 2nd Photo is of Superbike Racer Josh Brookes cutting it close to the Wall. EOS1D Classic, 1.4X Extender & EF300f4L. 200ASA, 1/500th, f11.

Great photos mate

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.

I was at 1.5M with the monarch - no extension tubes or anything.

Not sure about your question (it may work, but you may have to use the FEL button to get it to lock exposure vs. using ETTL - the 1D does not use ETTL II

I wanted to return this camera, but i'm so glad I didn't

85 f/1.8 on this thing is just plain magical!

Here's some impromptu pics from a little picnic yesterday:

My sensor is filthy. Is there anyway I can clean it on my own? Or should I just take it to canon?
