@Greg_C,the usual comments mate,lovely.

Thanks - I had to get away from the desk today so this was a walk to the city gardens. Tomorrow I'm thinking Roma St Parklands might be on the list.

yeah, some days it's more important than others. I should get out to do street photography - but don't.

Yeah, go with your own site. I use but dislike Coppermine. Wordpress as the blog software is great and can link to other gallery software.

I could offer a macro talk I did last month for Ipswich Camera Club, only problem is the Monday night digital meetings clash with my son's soccer training. Let me think about transport options. I'm not actually a BCG member ATM, ran out in December.

Top notch images Greg!

And if you speak at BCG, I'll be your fanboy and clap at all the right moments. :D

I first noticed increased upload speeds over the last day or so. It made me look into it. They have extended the better rated part of the HFC (Hybrid Fibre Cable) network to more capital cities. Sydney and Melbourne already had these speeds.

Upload speed is the same, but the down speed is a little slower. Could just be because all of the school kids are home and online "doing homework" given pretty much the whole area here has no choice but telstras cable network for internet...

Is that at home or in a office building? I get the sh1ts with my internet connection being unable to get over about 1 mbit. Its rubbish! Might be the stock modem that came from IINET.

Oh, and hi Brisvegas people!

-Scott

Edit. Before you say it... I WAS in Brisbane with those speeds.... About the same in Radelaide.

Well I did a test or two #1 through Bris server, up 2.17mbs, down .17mbs then through Sunshine coast server which is closer up .60mbs, down .26mbs. WTF why is it so?

This is at home, but for all the speed test says thats my download speed, it isn't really anything like then when downloading stuff. Don't get me wrong, telstras cable carp is still quick, its just... well... telstras :confused:
