Just ordered the Canon 7D with the 28-135 lens for $1549 thru AAFES.com. Can't wait for it to show up. Maybe in a week or two I'll have it. Last time I ordered from them it only took 5 days and I was in Korea when it was delivered...I'm gonna try to sell the 28-135 so I got one heck of a deal...

In trickier situations, the fulol time manual focus adjust offered by the EF 28-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM is valuable. The EF-S 18-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS does not support that, so make sure you assess if that's something you need/want or not, before parting with the 28-135.

If you were stateside, you could have gotten it a bit cheaper through the Beach Camera ebay deal after selling off the lens and printer. Requires a little work, but 7D would cost around $1150.

eBay. I got it from BeachCamera. I just shot ~150 test shots yesterday with my new 7D.

I'm about ready to cry because it is so awesome. My Rebel felt like a toy afterward.

lol, ok, i feel a little better. :)

well, until i remember how i paid $200 for a 4MB ram upgrade on my acer acros 486dx computer (back in my college days) to make ready for windows 95 upgrade (as well as $200 some dollars to throw in a 500mb hard drive to supplement the 180mb drive that came w/ the system). getting slightly off topic now..... lol

How did you get it so cheap? I got mine from AAFES a few months ago and it was $1849 if I remember correctly.
Ohh, and be patient with shipping. I paid for priority, with supposed shipping from Pacific Warehouses to Guam. I got it 30 days after I ordered. And AAFES tracking did not work.
