Finished my first e-session. As I'm just starting out, I'll take any C+C you guys can think of. I really would like to learn and grow my skills. Looking at the great examples of others on this forum, I would say maybe I need to work on being more creative and blowing out my backgrounds a little more (done with smaller apertures?). I've also got to work on my watermark and how I should present my photos. Thanks for the help.
-Greg

I like them all - they have a natural, fun style to them. The only thing I find strange is how in 6 of the 8 shots she's looking at the camera, and in none of the shots is he. Is there any reason for that? Or did you have others that were different?

Great shots...I like #8, but it leaves me wanting them to be sneaking a kiss behind that shed...for a more intimate shot.

Haha, that's true. I had others that included him. I did remember them making a comment in the field, because I kept throwing Curtis out of focus. I'll have to pay more attention next time around.

Really nice job for your first time. Exposure and color look consistent. Great looking, well dressed couple too! I agree about the comment how most of the shots are focused on the girl. I think that tends to be a common theme in wedding photography that the focus is 90% on the girl and 10% on the guy. It's a stereotype I try and avoid.. I try and shoot with focus on the girl but with ones focused on the guy too. I think you're definitely on the right path.. I look forward to seeing more. :)

I am super cool n' stuff.

#6.. You didn't have them lay down on the green of a golf course did you?
I worked on the crew at a golf course for a few summers growing up... The stuff they spray on the greens: yuck!

The shots are great... The colors look a little washed to me, but I suspect that is the look you were going for... nice job.

ONE issue... that first shot I wish he wasn't covering up the L in "Life"...... would have made a really great shot, PERFECT IMHO!

You are right.. It looks like it could be photo shopped pretty easily.. clone the I upto the L to slide the L right.

Is it my imagination, or do the colors look much more vibrant from when I said they appeared a little washed. (though I am using a different computer today).

#6 could have been very good if you had only moved in closer not taking such a wide view of them. You might like to read Learning to See Creatively by Bryan Peterson.
