well basically what i did was take three different images and put them together. First I made the card based on an old 1970's baseball card. I took a blank 4x6 canvas in GIMP set up my guides so to make the boarder and the flags. Then I used the path tool to line out everything then stroked the path with my desired thickness of line. Then once i had the yellow outlined with black i made that all one layer. Opened up my picture put it in the right place where i needed it after scaling it to the right size. I erased any of the extra bits that protruded. Then added my names etc. Then I made the team picture using the same method and guides from the 4x6, but i made the team picture a 5X5. Once i had these two images i created an 8x10 canvas made a black boarder, opened up the picture i wanted in the backroom, stuck it behind the boarder and positioned it right. Then i coloured it to a sepia tone then took the saturation right down. Then i threw on a high pass filter to make it pop. Then i opened my two other images as a layer rotated them, put them in place, then added a drop shadow to give it some depth.

That was pretty much the gist of it. If you really want a step by step tutorial with pictures I may be able to make one up, but I hope you get the idea from what you can see and what I have written. If you don't like doing these yourself and ever need a template please feel free to message me I would be glad to make a custom one for a small fee.

There is a beauty dish in the studio and I have never used it. May have to give it a try, that image is stunning.
