Just wanted to share with you some of the photos I took of my parents a few days ago.

To be honest, my father discovered he had a tumor in his intestine area and is undergoing an operation early next week. I wanted to take photos of my loving parents before he went into the hospital just to encourage him that a whole life is waiting for him after he heals

Even though I haven't experienced real love first-hand, I know it's out there because I see it every day through my parents.

This is a little tribute to their continued happiness & health

I call this set, Life. Long. Love.

Wanted to capture the reflections of my parents, but this is all I got...

It's a bit awkward telling your parents to kiss in front of you:
Me: "OK, now grab each others hands and kiss."
Mom: "How?"
Me: "Don't tell me you haven't kissed before!" haha
*looks at each other awkwardly, quick kiss, and then all three of us explode in laughter

Our family would be very appreciative if you could quickly pray for a successful operation and a speedy recovery. Thank you very much!

All of the photos were taken with the 5D2 135L combo. Most were photographed with my 580EXII off-camera, with and without the Qbox24.
On a side note, although I have a long ways to go, I'm finally starting to feel more comfortable with OCF and hopefully it shows with my different levels of creativity.

As always, the remaining photos have been loaded on my flickr and comment and critques are ALWAYS welcomed & encouraged! Thanks for your time!

Nice shots, great concept, prayers are with your family...

This is what photography is ALL about. The capture of memories, that slice of time frozen and held...

These are really beautiful and really seem to capture the affection between you AND your parents.

I hope all goes well with your Dad's surgery and that he is quickly on the road to recovery.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers!

My father is in the ICU right now and everything went very well. The tests haven't come out yet, but the doctor said he didn't see any of the cancer cells spread and that the tumor was caught early.

He's in recovery mode right now as we speak and aside for some post-surgical pain, he is doing great!

Now all he has to do is pass gas which gives him the green light to eat again! :P

I just wanted to update anybody who was curious on what happened and thank you all once again!

Thanks for the update. I for one had been wondering.
Glad to hear he's doing well post-op.
