Jul 19, 2010 02:22 | #4 The post work is done in Aperture. The first one is burnt out a bit cause its only 1/60. The other two were 1/640 and 1/500 respectively. I have never actually installed the Canon software on my computer. Is it worth it? James Cook Photography

I am going to write a post on it I think and ask around, but I've tried in ACR and DPP now, and Aperture is the only one that shows posturizing around the highlights. I have an image of fire where you can see the issue quite clearly, much liek your first shot. If you have photoshop, try opening the image in Camera Raw, and you'll see exactly what I mean. So far I havent found anyone talking about the issue in a quick search I did :/
