Hey, what are you doing post work in? I noticed that I often get posturizing like what you have in the first photo when I use aperture, however if I load the same photo in DPP the posturizing issues either do not exist or are extremely hard to pull out.

The post work is done in Aperture. The first one is burnt out a bit cause its only 1/60. The other two were 1/640 and 1/500 respectively. I have never actually installed the Canon software on my computer. Is it worth it?

I am going to write a post on it I think and ask around, but I've tried in ACR and DPP now, and Aperture is the only one that shows posturizing around the highlights. I have an image of fire where you can see the issue quite clearly, much liek your first shot. If you have photoshop, try opening the image in Camera Raw, and you'll see exactly what I mean. So far I havent found anyone talking about the issue in a quick search I did :/

Anyways, thanks for the info. Just confirms the issue a bit more for me :D
