I've been lurking around POTN for a now and have been trying to absorb as much information as possible :D Anyway, I've been getting more and more into photography recently (as a hobby of course, no intentions on going pro).

I photograph everything, from nature to people to bugs, I don't discriminate  My current equipment is in my signature. What should I get next? I was thinking of getting a 430EX and a tripod and maybe a set of lens hoods for my lenses.

As for lenses, I'm looking to replace my kit lens when something more worthy :p I'd like to eventually get a 17-55mm F2.8, but don't have the money for one right now :(

Also looking into getting a EF 28mm F/1.8, any opinions on this?

If you were in my position, how would you expand your equipment arsenal?

Thanks :D

The tripod and flash will both be great additions.

Lenses will give slightly better IQ but the tripod and flash will give you options that the lens won't ie shooting low light and below handholding speeds.

flash was my second purchase (after my first lens), and no regrets whatsoever!
